I am a highly motivated Web / Graphic designer, confident, artistic, with an eye for detail and a constructive approach to problem solving. I work well under pressure both as an individual and as part of a team. My effectiveness as a designer lies in understanding how to marry functionality with the user experience.

During my six years of commercial experience I have used a diverse range of software such as Dreamweaver Ultradev, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash and Quark XPress. I have extensive knowledge of web design compatibility issues, cross-platform/browser design and experience using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Devised method of linking 3 company websites together while retaining the existing URL's and logos. A tabbed interface was utilised which merged the sites into a single overall structure enabling users to move seamlessly between them.

Spearheaded development and design of new corporate identity. My concepts led to a restructuring of the company and solved the existing logo proliferation problem.

Formulated and implemented search engine optimisation and submission strategy resulting in an additional 30,000 visitors to our sites over a 12 month period.

Created online and off-line demos for products and services using Flash, HTML and PowerPoint. The combination of technologies employed allowed users with differing hardware and software to view the demos.

Working with external contractor to design finished stands for exhibitions incorporating, plasma screens, company graphics, and plinths housing monitors.

Devised product packaging strategy and design including the product box, manual covers and CD jewel case. Simplifying the design of these items led to a saving in assembly time and printing costs along with an increase in quality.

Developed and managed online advertising featured on Google, Yahoo, MSN, AltaVista and Netscape resulting in 3,000 targeted new leads over a 12 month period.

Consulted with programmers to develop website functionality and optimised graphics for software including icons, splash screens, and search & subscribe facilities.
